Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 12 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python AWS ANSI SQL and Data Analysis. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The position is a day shift with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architecture solutions.
• Oversee the development and deployment of data pipelines using Python and AWS.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and security across all data platforms.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement best practices for data management and governance.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.
• Document all architectural designs and processes for future reference.

Qualifications

• Must have strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Must have extensive experience with AWS services for data storage and processing.
• Must have advanced knowledge of ANSI SQL for complex query development.
• Must have proven experience in data analysis and deriving insights from large datasets.
• Nice to have experience with data visualization tools.
• Nice to have knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Nice to have experience in leading a team of data professionals.
• Nice to have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Nice to have a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
• Nice to have familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Certifications Required

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Data Analyst Python Programming Certification

The annual salary for this position is between $[125,000 - 135,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
