About the Role

At Watlow, our Demand Analyst plays a critical role in creating trusted, consensus-driven forecasts that help guide our global supply chain and manufacturing operations.

Working within a Customer Focused Team (CFT) or business group, the Demand Analyst builds analytical models that combine customer-provided data, historical order patterns, and market insights. The output directly supports enterprise-wide material and capacity planning. This position partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on the most accurate forecast possible, ensuring business leaders can confidently make data-driven decisions that keep Watlow operating at world-class standards.

The ideal candidate will be based out of our global headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build forecasting tools: Develop and refine data analysis tools to process large customer datasets using historical orders, market trends, sales inputs, and additional factors.
  • Analyze forecast trends: Detect and summarize both quantitative and qualitative insights from forecast data to create executive-ready narratives.
  • Align demand across stakeholders: Participate in discussions with cross-functional teams to evaluate inputs and align on an accurate consensus demand forecast.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with sales, marketing, production, product management, and supply chain teams to gather insights and align demand planning strategies.
  • Drive ERP and SIOP improvements: Support Watlow's global ERP transformation and help evolve the Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) process to a single enterprise business system.
  • Monitor and improve forecast accuracy: Track, report on, and work to improve forecast accuracy metrics, while benchmarking performance against best-in-class standards.
