Washington County Cooperative Library Services
(WCCLS) is currently seeking a Courier to sort and deliver library materials between our 16 member library locations in Washington County - quickly getting books, movies, and more into the hands of our patrons! Couriers transport library materials using a 15-foot, 2-ton box truck (no special license required) and sort library materials at our warehouse location in Hillsboro using Automated Material Handling equipment.
This position is a part-time, 20-hour a week position, with a schedule of Saturdays, Sundays, and an additional week day as needed. Duties will be driving and sorting according to the schedule and as needed, backing up other Couriers.

The ideal candidate is motivated, friendly, and excited about libraries. They like being part of a team, and at the same time, enjoy periods of solo work. They show attention to detail and can manage routine responsibilities, while also being ready to pivot to meet the needs of the day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; AND
- One (1) year of work experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in a warehousing related field.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy. To review the Driver's License and Record Policy for Washington County:Driver's License & Records Policy.
- Some positions in this classification may be required to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment prior to appointment.
