JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The HR Technology Solutions and Analytics office within Penn State IT is seeking a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to provide support for Workday, a cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll system, and Neocase, a case management system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and problem resolution for the Core HR product line, executing testing and quality assurance validation, supporting system maintenance, and providing configuration support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide Tier 2 support for system issues

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues for product line

  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents and implement preventative measures

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for issue resolution

  • Perform audits on current data to support business operations

  • Assist with the execution of test plans for system changes and updates

  • Participate in unit testing

  • Monitor and maintain Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) loads as needed

  • Support system upgrades and maintenance activities

  • Assist in implementing new features and functionality

  • Stay current on Core HR functionality through utilizing Workday Community, user groups, networking, and participating in training

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong technology skills and initiative to learn Workday system configuration, prior experience with Workday configuration preferred.

  • Strong critical thinking skills

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external teams

  • Strong technical abilities in Microsoft Office (primarily Microsoft Excel)

  • Ability to use reporting tools and analyze data.

Education and Experience:

Minimum requirement is aBachelor'sdegreepluse one (1) year of relevant experience. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Information: The location of this position is fully remote within the United States. Standard working hours are in the Eastern time zone.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
