Description

LaForce is looking for a dedicated and reliable full-time Paint Prepper to join our Installation Department. As a leader in the door, frame, and hardware industry, we offer a stable and growing company where you can build a rewarding career. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials (frames, doors, components, etc.) into and out of the painting area. Hours are 4:30am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday, with possible overtime on Fridays.

As a Paint Prepper you'll be responsible for:



  • Obtaining information from shop orders and shop drawings regarding painting requirements.
  • Filling small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces to prepare materials for painting.
  • Operating various bench and hand power tools including sanders, bench and hand grinders, screw guns, etc.
  • Assisting painter with set up and operation of paint spray systems and paint booth to apply topcoat paints.
  • Safely moving materials using forklifts.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment.


What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or GED) and one to three months of related experience or training. Military experience is considered as a substitute for relevant experience. You should be able to read safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. A forklift certification will be provided through internal training.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach continuously. You will be lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling materials up to 50 pounds, with occasional climbing and balancing. Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in an active environment are essential.
