Job Title: Service Officer I
Department: Gardena Office

We are looking for a bilingual Service Officer I fluent in both English & Korean to join our Gardena Office branch team. The Service Officer I will be responsible for addressing client inquiries, processing transactions, and providing support for various financial products and services. The major end result of this role is to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by delivering timely and accurate assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in opening new accounts for Personal & Business Checking, Saving, Money Market and CD Accounts.
  • Close CD & Installment Saving Accounts, as requested by customers or at the end of term date.
  • Approve deposit, withdrawal and other operations-related transactions for the amount up to the authorized approval limit. In smaller branch will help process transactions.
  • Process transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account maintenance, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist customers in resolving account-related issues and provide guidance on product features and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the company database.
  • Work closely with branch team to enhance service delivery and address customer concerns effectively.
  • Assists all branch offices in resolving operational and system inquiries and providing support. Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information regarding financial products and services.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience in bank operations as a teller, new accounts representative, or supervisor required.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Some experience in retail sales and customer service functions a plus.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and online banking programs.
  • Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
