ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The Procurement Engineer Intern will assist and be under the guidance of other procurement staff working on various procurement activities of the subcontract packages and strategic supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support in purchasing and subcontracting processes for materials, equipment, and services
  • Request and follow up on supplier quotations
  • Prepare comparative pricing and condition analysis
  • Maintain and organize procurement documentation (purchase orders, delivery notes, contracts, etc.)
  • Enter and track purchase orders in the company's system
  • Follow up on deliveries, deadlines, and basic logistics coordination
  • Support monthly reporting, and internal documentation
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers and internal departments (site teams, accounting, etc.)
Requirements

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering/Business/Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Negotiation and communication skills
  • Understanding of contractual and commercial agreements
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good logistical planning, record keeping and admin, time management and scheduling management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good teamwork and organizational skills

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily indoors
  • This work environment may involve minimal exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises

Physical Demands:
