Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room (RN) Unit Supervisor to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.

Full-Time, Night shift (7am-7pm). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).

The Inova Virts Miller Family Emergency and Trauma Center is a full-service emergency department for adults at Inova Loudoun Hospital. It is a Joint Commission-certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center and an integral part of the trauma program at Inova Loudoun Hospital - Loudoun County's only designated trauma center.

ER Unit Supervisor Responsibilities:



  • Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit,
  • Embraces; uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.
  • Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes
  • Role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility.
  • Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve-every time, every touch.
  • Ensures that care is patient-centered
  • Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among discipline
  • Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention


ER Unit Supervisor Requirements:



  • Requires at least one year of Registered Nurse Clinical experience
  • Bachelors Degree. Or Associate Degree RNs within one year of completing their BSN
  • BLS required.
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia


ER Unit Supervisor Preferred Qualifications:



  • More than 2 years of Registered Nurse Clinical Experience in the ED, with experience as charge or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Specialty certification specific to unit within 1 year
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • Strongly prefer current ACLS and PALS
