POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Line Service Technician is a working member of the group and reports to the Line Service Supervisor, responsible for all maintenance and aircraft related activities assigned to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Helps certified mechanics for timely and quality completion of assignments in accordance to prescribed processes and procedures.

2. Provides basic ramp servicing of aircraft under the supervision of the Line Service Supervisor or other authorized personnel.

3. Performs pushback of aircraft and equipment, engaging and disengaging of air-start and ground power units.

4. Connects and operates electrical and mechanical devices required for ground servicing of aircraft.

5. Participates in cleaning of aircraft parts to include aircraft wash.

6. Assists with and performs aircraft refueling procedures as trained and required, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.

7. May be assigned setting up of general service equipment - generator carts, aircraft stands.

8. Make certain that all safety and accident prevention measures are followed, and correction action is taken as warranted.

9. Assists in the general upkeep of ground equipment as assigned and communicates any concerns or issues.

10. Escort and assist customer mechanics as needed.

11. Safely performs all duties and special assignments as directed by the crew chief or supervisors- line maintenance.

12. Shall be responsible for any additional duties delegated by the crew chief, Line Service Supervisor or maintenance management personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.

* High school diploma or equivalency.

* Mechanical background or interest.

* Must possess a valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract and must be able to obtain ramp and movement license.

* Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communications skills.

* Able to work various shifts as needed. Punctual and good attendance required.

COMPENSATION
This position starts at $20.17 per hour.
