General Operator 1

Barrett Paving Materials is seeking a reliable and versatile General Operator with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team in the Mid West Central region. The General Operator will play a key role in supporting various operations, including equipment operation, material handling, and transportation, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently.

• Operate various types of construction and heavy equipment, including but not limited to loaders, dump trucks, and paving machines.
• Transport materials to and from job sites using company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials at job sites, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with team members to support various construction activities, including site preparation, grading, and paving.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating equipment and performing tasks on job sites.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked, materials used, and other job-related documentation as required.
• Assist with general site cleanup and organization to promote a safe and efficient working environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in construction or paving environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to equipment operation and site work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Basic mechanical skills to perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
