Position: Return to Work Administrator

Location: Fremont, CA.
The Role:
OEM is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, analytical, innovative and customer-focused Return-to-Work Administrator to join our dynamic Return-to-Work team. In this role you will be responsible for administering and coordinating employee returning to work across several business units.
This position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to navigate complex return-to-work scenarios, and experience working cross-functionally with HR, disability administrators, operations management, EHS, and other internal/external partners. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency in return-to-work administration while supporting a positive employee experience.
Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Health or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, leave administration, HR or disability case management.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills, with experience handling spreadsheets, tracking systems, and employee records.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting work status reports and leave of absence documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with employees, supervisors, HR and insurance providers.
  • Experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve return-to-work challenges and high level of attention to detail to manage documentation, agreements and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the transitional modified duty spreadsheet by entering leave of absence and workers' compensation data, updating employee communication logs, and recording transfers.
  • Log interactions with employees, retrieve work status reports from medical providers, and provide ongoing updates regarding work restrictions and return-to-work status.
  • Draft and distribute transitional modified duty agreements, notify employees and stakeholders, and ensure proper documentation is maintained and organized.
  • Conduct brief return-to-work orientations and escort employees to their supervisors and job sites.
  • Address return-to-work related challenges, coordinate with Internal Leaves Team to lift LOAs, and ensure accurate reporting of employee transfers and restrictions.
  • Provide weekly updates to supervisors and manage the transitional modified duty roster.
