LABOR'S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
Senior New Product Development / Design to Value Engineer, Hill Phoenix, Inc., Keosauqua, IA: Interface with other functional areas to conduct research, qualify new products, and implement optimal cost design. Provide in-depth technical information and support for case design and requirements. Be responsible for developing a portfolio of specialty refrigerated merchandisers. Lead engineering efforts related to New Product Development (NPD) and cross-functional teams related to Design to Value (DTV). Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve the product market specifications. Oversee the development of CAD solid models and engineering simulations of proposed concepts. Generate multiple DTV ideas by conducting brainstorming sessions. Implement multiple DTV projects. Manage NPD projects from concept to completion, including scheduling, deliverables, and delegation of tasks. Prepare and conduct application-related testing. Create and maintain Applications Engineering data base. Understand and address regulatory issues and requirements necessary for certification. Support intra-departmental personnel and facilitate their skills development. Attend trade show and other duties as required in support of business development activities. Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $104,898 to $114,898 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the design of commercial or consumer appliances. Must have five (5) years of experience in all of the following: * Preparing and communicating engineering results; Must have two (2) years of experience in all of the following: * Leading Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA); Must have one (1) years of experience in all of the following: * Completing Department of Energy calculations to determine energy consumption and reporting to outside agencies for approval. Domestic travel required up to 5% to other company worksite and customer offices.
