Shift: ALL Security Clearance:No Clearance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description) Solicit, negotiate, award and administer subcontracts for goods and services pursuant to requirements of prime contracts, Government and commercial ship repair programs, and internal requirements, including but not limited to the Outline of Authority to Act. Major efforts are on high-dollar and labor-intensive subcontracts. The single focal point for all subcontracting actions at NASSCO Bremerton location. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Supply Chain Manager. Maintains close internal contact with Project/Ship Managers, Engineering, Planning & Estimating, Contracts, Receiving, Integrated Logistics Support, Production, and Quality Assurance. Maintains close external contact with Suppliers and requesting organizations to resolve semi-complex contractual and technical problems associated with unique and/or high-dollar procurement actions. This position has no direct reports, however must work well with the Supply Chain Manager and Buyer in a small professional working environment at NASSCO Bremerton. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable to the Supply Chain Manager at NASSCO Bremerton for procurement of acceptable Subcontractor services at the best value while ensuring timely delivery in support of schedule. Results are related to the quality and timeliness of achieving project goals and ability to develop, implement, and/or adhere to processes that comply with contract requirements and maximize productiveness and throughput. STANDARD EQUIPMENT ISSUE Desktop Computer, Corporate Credit Card, Cell phone UNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Regular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job. Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or controls, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to work and coordinate with the subcontracts administration division at NASSCO Norfolk. Able to be independent and responsible for all subcontracting actions at the NASSCO Bremerton office. Pay Range: $67,440 - $88,515 Annually The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity. At NASSCO Bremerton we anticipate making salary offers between the minimum and midpoint of salary range. Offers will be based on experience, abilities, and knowledge similar to the NASSCO Job being applied for NASSCO employees performing similar work.
