SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the International Services Operations Manager to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, managing all daily functions associated with International Services operational functionality including daily supervision of International Operations Specialists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides excellent customer service to customers, colleagues, and associates (both internal and external) enthusiastically, professionally and with confidence through various communications.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and control standards and implements additional controls as needed.
  • Monitor expenditures and explain variances. Contribute to budget planning.
  • Manage or assist in projects related to the department and/or Correspondent Division.
  • Manage automation of international systems; includes UAT testing and reporting.
  • Assist with planning and implementing operational improvements, resolve operational problems and take corrective action to ensure effective operations.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs and plans to support short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage staff to maximize operational efficiencies. Counsel subordinates on performance expectations and progress. Recommend staffing needs and changes.
  • Direct training and development of staff to ensure operational depth and maximize use of strengths and abilities. Manage employees through needs assessment, training and development, and performance coaching.
  • Manage internal and external audits. Assure compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Remain knowledgeable of banking industry trends or issues to assess needs and opportunities for service enhancements or new products.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of services as well as a general understanding of other Division services.
  • Maintain good relationship with internal and external customers, management team, and other critical contacts.
  • Maintain professional and managerial effectiveness through training, reading professional literature and other developmental activities.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of FX trading platforms
  • Working knowledge of the mechanics of foreign exchange markets and how trades are executed
  • Working knowledge of FX products (spot, forwards, options)
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements governing FX trading and operations
  • Must be familiar with email systems, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and basic personal computer skills.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to provide fast, professional, and accurate information.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to consistently meet service level standards and goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Prefer Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent in work experience and training.
  • Experience: Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Proficiency in FX trade platforms, Familiarity with payment and settlement systems e.g. SWIFT, CLS, RTGS.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports., This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences or training as needed.
