The Salvation Army Midland Division Corps located in Springfield, Missouri, is looking for a Food Services Supervisor. This position provides supervision to feeding programs of The Salvation Army - Springfield. This position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State, and Local policies, and standards. This position is expected to advance and support the Mission of The Salvation Army. This is a full-time position 40 hours per week with starting pay of $18.00 per hour. 1707 W Chestnut Expy, Springfield, Missouri This position provides supervision to feeding programs of The Salvation Army - Springfield. Employee will follow other instructions, and perform other related duties, as may be required by his/her supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Completion of culinary training program and five years' experience required. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent professional communication skills (both oral and written). Previous management and/or supervision experience preferred. Event planning and volunteer supervision experience is a plus. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a plus. Medically qualified to work in the food service area. Ability to lead a team engaged in several projects simultaneously. Hold or obtain a Class E Driver's License upon hire and pass The Salvation Army MVR check. Obtain CPR/First Aid training within ninety (90) days of hire. Physical and Working Conditions Must be able to perform the above essential duties. Capable of performing in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. However, the kitchen will rise above 80 degrees Fahrenheit at times and the walk-in freezer temperature may be at zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit or below. Employee Status FULL TIME: Normal work hours will be determined with supervisor. However, working additional hours including some weekends may be required. |
