Posting Summary
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering ( ISE) at Rutgers University invites applications for a research scientist position, who will work with Dr. Ahmed Aziz Ezzat at ISE to support a project of designing data-driven models for large-scale atomistic simulations used for materials characterization and design. The initial appointment starts from August 2025 till the end of July 2026, with the possibility of reappointment for another year. The position salary starts with a minimum of $63,968

The candidate's main job responsibilities include:
* Designing, testing, and evaluating state-of-the-art data-driven models based on large-scale atomistic simulation data.
* Integrating scientific and contextual information in data science models for materials characterization and design.
* Collaborating closely with materials scientists for model improvement and development.
* Writing research papers, advising graduate students, and assisting in writing research proposals.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
A doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is required. Strong and demonstrated experience in data science and machine learning for large-scale, high-dimensional datasets.
