Scope of Work:

The Seasonal Ground Laborer will maintain grounds of industrial, commercial and public property and will operate equipment in the completion of daily job duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Cutting grass or weeds with a mower, riding or hand, trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, weed eaters, clippers and edging tools; hand weed-pulling, raking, mulching landscapes.
  • May drive ATV's, Kubota's and other small equipment or Tractors; other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Directly related experience preferred and/or formal vocational/technical training and be physically able to perform the job responsibilities on a continual/repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • On a continuous basis must be able to pull, push, lift or carry for 50 feet, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and twist for varying periods in the course of work.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain - side hills and slopes.

All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
