Job Summary and Mission:


The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and management of raw materials within the plant. This position includes receiving, organizing, kitting, and transporting raw materials and tooling for the Pressing Department.

Job Description and Responsibilities:



  • Safely and efficiently transport powders, raw materials, to the Pressing Department
  • Assist in tracking inventory levels of raw materials, intermediate products, ensuring that materials are properly accounted for and readily available for production needs
  • Unload deliveries of raw materials, inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality, and verify against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Ensure materials are properly stored in designated areas, adhering to safety guidelines and preventing contamination or damage to powders
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
  • Kit production runs based on the production schedule ensuring that material orders are ready and no down time.
  • Support Pressing Department by ensuring that materials are delivered to machines in a timely manner
  • Monitor the condition of materials and report any discrepancies, damage or issues that could affect production quality or safety
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory transactions, and material usage
  • Complete documentation in SAP, MII.
  • Collect and properly dispose of scarp materials or waste generated during the production process, in accordance with environmental and safety regulations
