**This is an on-site position with the possibility of additional flexibility once fully trained in the role**

The Program Coordinator, Credentialing and Enrollment-Department of Internal Medicine provides administrative and secretarial support based on applicable policies, rules and procedures.

The Program Coordinator position will be responsible for the initial and reappointment credentialing for all Department of Internal Medicine Advanced Provider Practitioners, serving as liaison for providers, division and department leadership, and VCU Health Medical Staff Services to initiate and facilitate complete credentialing processes, adhering to VCUHS bylaws, policy and procedures within a targeted timeframe. This position will also be responsible for all provider enrollment activities for physicians and advanced practitioners, to include initial enrollment, updates, and follow up processes.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of four (4) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e-mail/calendaring.

Experience PREFERRED:
Five (5) years of previous secretarial/administrative work experience in an office setting.
Previous experience in an academic health care setting.

Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/training PREFERRED:
Associate Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field from an accredited program

Independent action(s) required:
Project management and communication with a variety of individuals/entities and decision making.
