Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior IT & Data Manager, Transplant.
In this role, the successful candidate This position requires a technologically proficient individual experienced in the areas of clinical data design, capture, management, querying and reporting; hardware updates and maintenance. The principal function of this position is to organize, maintain and manage the integrity of all information systems including systems administration
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise database analysts including assigning work, performance review and all other human resource issues.
- Supervises database analysts and part-time Office Assistant including assigning work, performance reviews and all other human resource issues.
- Participates and supports data requests for the Transplant Division Quality Improvement Program. Leads teams and projects, as necessary, toward Divisional Quality Improvement goals.
- Prepare budget proposals, powerpoint presentations and all other IT related projects. Researches current IT costs and advises as to the most cost effective options that meet our IT needs. Prepares proposals to be reviewed by management. Prepares presentations according to the specifications of the Transplant Director. Place computer orders for Transplant, NYULH via PeopleSoft.
- Maintains and upgrades hardware and pertinent software. Demonstrates knowledge of hardware functions and needs. Communicates well VELOS and EPIC support to perform upgrades, correct issues and perform regular maintenance.
- Report preparation for third party payors, regulatory agencies and clinical staff. Prepares reports in a timely manner, capturing all data fields and organizing in a useful format for the end user. Communicates well with internal Departments requesting the data, such as the FGP, Finance and the Office of Managed Care. Communicates effectively with the clinical staff in preparing daily, monthly and quarterly reports and correcting any problems.
- Data coordination including managing and coordinating UNOS data, UNOS site administration, SRTR Reporting Review, ESRD Data submissions, managing local databases and local transplant data.
- System administration including coordinating technical services with hospital systems, monitoring servers and desktops with a direct report to the Transplant Director. Communicates well with other departments in dealing with IT issues. Coordinates IT functions efficiently to maintain functionality during work hours and bring division goals to completion. Is proactive in monitoringdesktops and shared drives identifying potential problems and addressing them in order to avoid system problems.
- UNOS Site Security Manager: Ensure NYULMC is in compliance with UNOS regulations. This includes ensuring accounts are up to date, staff complete required training and reporting and security breaches to UNOS. Ensure quarterly user audits are completed timely and accurately.
- Collaborate with the Manager and Associate Director of Transplant Quality, Regulatory and Education for regulatory audits from UNOS, New York State DOH, CMS and other regulatory agencies
- Ensure readiness for audits from Regulatory agencies including auditing charts, creating and updating reports in EPIC
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years experience in a similar capacity with experience in systems administration and supervising staff

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $162,649.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
