First 10 Weeks: Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Next 2 Weeks: Perform assigned basic / entry level engineering activities to support field team such as standard software generation and as-built documentation. Last Week: Generate and present a capstone project that reflects on your 12-week intern experience. How you will do it: 1. Develop and load system level controller software. 2. Develop and load supervisory level controller software. 2. Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation. 3. Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. 4. Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. 5. Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. 6. Documents changes from the field and develop as-built documentation. 7. Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. 8. Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. What we look for RequiredQualifications: * Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university * Pursuing a degree in engineering relevant to mechanical and electrical systems. * Extremely organized, detail oriented and able to effectively multi-task. * U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. * Proactive and positive attitude, read to learn and contribute to real world projects. * Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently. * Strong communication skills (verbal and written). * Strong problem-solving skills. * Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.). * Strong computer skills required. (All Microsoft and Office Suite products). * Personal Vehicle and valid driver's license required. Will be working in an office and field (jobsite) environment. |
