Baler Operator - Longview, WA

Responsibilities:

• Bale scrap material generated in the plant.
• Weigh each bale and note the weight on each bale.
• Stack the bales according to SOP and store in the designated scrap storage areas.
• Load trailers that are designated for scrap.
• Retrieve loaded scrap racks from accumulation points within the facility.
• Physically inspect the baler before use.
• Reports any equipment malfunctions/issues to supervisors, lead person. If supervisor and/or lead person is not available, report malfunctions/issues to maintenance.
• Ensure there are empty racks for all relevant departments.
• Ensure the vacuum shoot that comes from the laminator to baler #1 doesn't get clogged.
• Clean and organize workstations on a daily basis.
• Perform inventory and bin to bin transactions.
• Operate a forklift and maintain/obtain forklift certification.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• Preferred forklift experience
