CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Regional Continuous Improvement Project Planning and Execution
- Plan and execute regional strategy to achieve continuous improvement goals.
- Champion OPEX Standards and ensuring continuous improvement throughout region.
- Identify and lead portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects that positively impact business results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal or external partners to advance continuous improvement methodology and deployment.
- Propose and meet OP16 regional targets.
- Propose and meet Regional Strategic Initiative Targets (Opportunity Cost, Productivity, Hidden Factory, Capacity, Sustainability, Future of Work, etc.)
- Collaborate with regional finance to identify high value opportunities, align resources and approach to impact positive results.
- Responsible for Specialty Region's Project Portfolio
- Lead, execute, and support continuous improvement projects that deliver business results.
- Coach site leadership and site continuous improvement leaders on effective deployment of Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Identify and develop regional talent to drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Champion Projects with high level of ambiguity.
- Guide and direct regional Black Belts, Green Belts and Champions in effective leadership, project execution and timely certifications
- Facilitate the validation of performance/financial results and long-term sustainability of the region's continuous improvement projects.
- Facilitate monthly calls to ensure all site project leads are providing regular status updates and progressing towards project completion.
Standard Work Program Support and Execution
- Propose and meet regional standard work goals.
- Coach site leadership on effective execution of Standard Work requirements
- Certify site compliance to Standard Work program and audit sites for compliance to certifications already achieved.
- Train site teams on all aspects of Standard Work (Takt, SOP, Kaizen and 5S)
- Promote a Kaizen Culture throughout the region
- Lead and participate in Kaizen events at sites; conduct Kaizen training (including General Kaizen, SMED, Visual Factory, FMEA, 5S, etc).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required:
- Bachelor degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, chemistry or equivalent field
Preferred:
- Advanced Technical Degree or MBA.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required:
- 4 years continuous improvement or manufacturing/engineering/quality/technical experience.
- Throughout career has experience in the following:
- The Sherwin-Williams Continuous Improvement System (Design, Re Design, and Process Improvement)
- Demonstrated organizational leadership and influence.
- Ability to apply industrial statistics.
- Capability to convey technical & operational concepts multiple levels within organization.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to multiple levels within organization levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement tool set
- Able to be autonomously, demonstrating strong decision-making skills, while carefully considering the business impact
Preferred:
- Experience working with Applicator, Aerosol, Adhesive, Colorant, and Architectural Paint Manufacturing
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required:
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Preferred:
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
- Expertise of the Sherwin-Williams Continuous Improvement System (Lean, Six-Sigma, and ARC).
- Advanced expert Certification (Lean Leader, Kepner Tregoe, Master Black Belt).
