Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with demonstrated ability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python AWS Glue Studio AWS Glue ETL Amazon S3 and Apache Spark. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of cloud-based data solutions and the ability to design and implement scalable architectures. The position offers a day shift and does not require travel.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using AWS Glue Studio and AWS Glue ETL
  • Supervise the development and deployment of data pipelines and workflows in Amazon S3
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team in Python and Apache Spark
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet business requirements
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all data platforms and solutions
  • Optimize data processing and storage solutions for performance and cost-efficiency
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures and workflows
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure standard processes are followed in all development activities
  • Solve and resolve issues related to data pipelines and workflows
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud-based data solutions
  • Supply to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and processes
  • Participate in project planning and provide estimates for data engineering tasks
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their data needs and provide solutions
Qualifications
  • Must have solid experience in Python for data engineering tasks
  • Must have hands-on experience with AWS Glue Studio and AWS Glue ETL
  • Must have expertise in managing and processing data in Amazon S3
  • Must have experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
  • Nice to have experience with other AWS services such as Lambda Redshift and Athena
  • Nice to have experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Nice to have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Nice to have superb communication and collaboration skills
Certifications Required

AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified Big Data Specialty

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 - $ 140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
