Penn State is searching for a full time Janitorial Worker (Behrend) - Grade 10 to join the team. Duties include:

Penn State Behrend is searching for a full time Janitorial Worker to join their team. Duties include:

  • Collect waste from work area; wash chalkboards; gather dirty erasers and supply clean erasers'
  • Dust, dust mop floors; wet mop floors; spot clean and vacuum rugs, runners, etc; rotate runners and clean stairways
  • Wash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc.; clean restrooms and stock dispensers
  • Wash and polish furniture, brass, etc.
  • Maintain equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
  • Lock doors, close and lock windows, and turn out lights
  • Report needed repairs to Supervisor

Job Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Up to and including 3 months of effective experience.

Work Schedule:3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Days Off:Saturday, Sunday
