JOB MISSION:

The Senior Photographer, Global Content Factory is a key member of the Global Content Factory Creative team responsible for leading photography within the studio for all product and marketing deliverables-including footwear, on-model apparel, and campaign initiatives. This role is essential in upholding New Balance's visual identity by ensuring all product imagery meets the highest quality standards.

Focused on elevating our brand's visual storytelling, the Senior Photographer supports a team of photographers and collaborates closely with stylists, DigiTechs, retouchers, art directors, and lighting teams. This position reports directly to the Creative Manager, Global Content Factory, and is required to be in studio five days a week.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead photography and lighting direction for all marketing campaign captures
  • Support and mentor a team of photographers, offering guidance on creative execution, workflow efficiency, and skill development
  • Assist the Creative Manager in curating weekly schedules for the photography team and aligning responsibilities based on project needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for upcoming projects-sharing briefs and Asana shot lists, answering photography-related questions, and preparing teams accordingly
  • Take lead on all marketing shoots, PDP apparel sets with new models, and athlete/ambassador sessions
  • Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s with photographers to review workload, set goals, and identify ways to improve creative output and process
  • Ensure photographers begin shoots on time and maintain a consistent, high-performing workflow
  • Collaborate with the Creative Manager to develop photography-driven concepts for marketing briefs
  • Assist with PDP footwear shoots and ensure timely review of all captured assets
  • Maintain and update photography processes and documentation to ensure consistency and alignment with brand standards
  • Organize and oversee prop, set, and background inventory
  • Partner with Global Content Factory Operations to manage studio equipment needs, including ordering gear and ensuring all tools are available for upcoming shoots

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5-7 years of product photography experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical range
  • Expert knowledge of studio lighting, camera systems, and advanced photography techniques
  • Minimum of 4 years working in a corporate studio environment, with an understanding of high-volume workflows and brand-aligned standards
  • Proficiency in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop
  • E-commerce or retail photography experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt between fast-moving daily shoots and more extensive campaign productions
  • Passion for quality, innovation, and over-delivering on creative output
  • Proactive in suggesting ideas and solutions that elevate the final deliverables
  • Required to be in studio five days a week

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
