Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an Analyst II, IT Security Contractor!

Role Summary:

The IT Analyst II, Security role will be directly involved in supporting the implementation and administration of information security technologies in order to ensure the protection of Buckeye's assets.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:



  • Project Implementation. Complete assigned tasks that assist with the implementation of various projects related to Buckeye's service(s). Document end-user requirements related to the new applications.
  • System Maintenance. Perform the maintenance of the various systems and technologies. Respond to reported service issues.
  • Service Administration. Assist system administrators in the setup of assigned services and administering systems interfaces.
  • Internal Support. Coordinate the various IT systems with lifecycle management of assigned and dependent systems, services, and applications.
  • Manage documentation for all supported services and ensure documentation is current. This may include documents for IT PMO, Disaster Recovery, Architecture Interconnection, etc.
  • Test upgrades before releasing them to the Buckeye Business and provide recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
  • On-Call Support. Provide on-call support during non-business hours to Operations on an as-needed basis.
  • Customer Service. Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Process Improvements. Contribute and/or Lead based on knowledge and experience. Continuously identify potential opportunities to increase efficiencies and/or improvements to existing processes. Identify gaps in the current business model and propose processes that will help move the business forward.
  • And other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:



    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or business desired, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • 3-5 Years of Cybersecurity Operations experience.
    • Certification in atleast one of the ISC2 Series, ISACA Series, SANS Series, Comptia Series (not including Seurity +) are required.
    • Managed Security Escalation. Acting in the capacity as a first line of escalation cybersecurity calls needing further investigation.
    • Intrusion Prevention. Regular review of events and reports management as needed.
    • Firewall Management. Knowledge and experience working at an advanced level on Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Fortinet. Regular review of policies and making recommendations in business process to enhance security measures. This also includes maintenance, provisioning, and ongoing support of firewall infrastructure.
    • Web Proxy Maintenance. Assist with ongoing forward and reverse proxy services maintenance.
    • Service Desk Tickets. Ongoing review and remediation of security related service desk tickets.
    • Writing Internal Security Procedures. This will involve the writing and defining of security procedures for repeat activity that lend towards a comprehensive security operating model.
    • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) / Security Service Edge (SSE). Experience with converged network and security as a service platform. Ability to think strategically about ongoing maintenance and improvement of these services.
    • Azure Cloud Security. Proficient knowledge of cloud security best practice and experience with implementing sound practice in Azure cloud.
    • Firewall Scripting and Automation. Proven knowledge and experience implementing scripting, automation, and use of APIs to gain efficiency in security operations tasks.
    • Mobile Security. Familiarity and experience with mobile security best practices on devices like mobile phones, tablets and other mobile personal computing devices. Practical knowledge of related security providers in this space and experience applying security frameworks to these devices in scale.
    • And other duties as assigned.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

      Essential Functions:



      • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
      • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
      • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.



      Physical & Safety Requirements:



      • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
      • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
