Position Description:

The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an ABIM board eligible or board-certified Infectious Diseases physician at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. This position will involve inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients. In addition, the ID component of this position may involve a smaller role in outpatient HIV clinic.A component of General Medicine Hospitalist work may be included, not to exceed 0.4 FTE effort.

Education Requirement:

Individuals under consideration must have a M.D. or equivalent degree.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Certifications:

Candidates must be ABIM board eligible, or board certified in Infectious Diseases.

Desirable Qualifications:

Desirable qualifications include evidence of strong clinical skills and a record of excellent interpersonal skills and positive interactions with students, staff and faculty. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
