Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Mechanical EngineerII with a focus on mechanical engineering experience in the pipeline & terminals business! Role Summary: The Mechanical Engineer role supports development and maintenance of engineering standards and specifications as well as working to continuously improve the technical content of our bidding, business case justification, estimating, and construction packages. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: Daily Operations. Respond to project requests for technical support including code interpretation, specification of engineered materials and equipment, in construction engineering responses, attending project process hazard review sessions, membership on company technical committees Position Requirements: B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Certificates & Licenses: Professional Engineer license with the capability of expanding licensure to other states by reciprocity. Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities: Mastery of communication with other engineering professionals, suppliers, and contractors using the English language Essential Functions: This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards. Physical & Safety Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. About You: Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills are paramount. You must work independently and be able to exercise tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers, and when handling sensitive and confidential information.
