Overview
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is recruiting for a Financial Manager to perform financial and administrative operations within a small business office. This is a great opportunity to become part of a team that works to conserve all species of fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the people of Vermont. For more information about the Department visit our website: https://vtfishandwildlife.com The Financial Manager is responsible for a wide range of operations including assistance with budget development, fund management, budget monitoring, fiscal controls, federal draws and reporting and closeout activities. This position is also the team leader for the licensing office and directly supervises two permanent positions. This position requires strong fiscal, communication, and organizational skills. The Financial Manager is supervised by the Director of Finance and Administration. This position has a hybrid schedule. Telework may be approved and regular in-person days are required. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in any discipline that includes or is supplemented by 20 credit hours in accounting AND two (2) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline AND four (4) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Associate's degree AND six (6) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR High School diploma AND eight (8) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR One year as a Financial Manager I with the State of Vermont. OR Certification as a CPA. Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
