The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. The Strategic Technology Analysis Group (STAG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD) and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). Responsibilities

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified, highly motivated, and technically capable individual to join our team as a Modeling and Simulation Analyst. The selected candidate will join a highly dynamic team of analysts working diverse projects. The job offers many opportunities to work in differenr fields with broad tasking keeping things challenging and engaging. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply analytical skills in a practical, impactful setting while continuing to grow technically in a dynamic research and development environment.

Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

    Develop, analyze, and validate computational models with a focus on probabilistic and stochastic beavhior.
  • Ability to interpret model outputs, data characterization, and statistical validation of results.
  • Develop custom scripts for data analysis, simulation control, or automated testing.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar STEM discipline
  • Proficient in at least one scripting or technical computing language such as Python, MATLAB, Mathematica, or Lisp
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment are critical to success in this position

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation
  • Basic understanding of orbital mechanics
  • Experience in Monte Carlo or other stochastic modeling techniques, uncertainty qualification, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment using randomized simuations highly desired
