Business Line Head of VS Americas Novi, Michigan, United States - ams-OSRAM USA Inc. What we expect

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motive and lead a cross-functional team of Product Marketing and Application Engineering professionals to achieve business targets
  • Overall business ownership for Business Line Visualization & Sensing AMEC/Americas, incl. budget responsibility for revenue and design-ins/design-wins
  • Cooperate and coordinate among teams of Product Marketing, Application Engineering, Sales, and others to drive the opportunity funnel and ensure a strong market/customer presence
  • Define regional business and Go-to-Market strategy to enable profitable growth in alignment with the overall business plan of the business line
  • Oversee regional pricing strategy to optimize revenue and profitability
  • Make team center of excellence in the Americas for analyzing key applications and market trends, conducting competitive benchmarking, and deriving strategic implications for the assigned portfolio
  • Support the regional team in providing excellent application support to existing customers and cultivate new relationships with potential new customers and partners by developing design proposals, hardware mock-ups, and any technical material.
  • Identify and develop innovative applications for ams OSRAM LED/Laser products. Extract and communicate key technical requirements for new LED/Laser product ideas from the customers and regional market for the assigned applications and work closely with the Product Management on the new product ideas
  • Act as Business Line management interface for Sales, Distributors and customers
  • Identify and prioritize customers to focus sales and engagements
Who we are looking for

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business Management or a related field, at least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, an MBA is a plus
  • Min. 5 years of experience in a management role leading a Marketing and/or Application Engineering team
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams
  • Business acumen and strategic thinker, delivering customer-focused solutions, driving business growth, managing partnerships, and excelling in the light emitter market trends
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams
  • Experience in a technical customer-oriented role is a plus
  • A successful incumbent will manage both legacy and high-growth product portfolios
  • High willingness to travel to clients ( 30%) and strong hands-on mentality
