Senior Accounts Payable Associate

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Associate who will provide support to internal and external customers and perform various assignments to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to internal and external customers
• Administer training and guidance on accounts payable procedures and processes to support Operations and HQ personnel
• Maintain master supplier file in the financial database and perform supplier setup and maintenance
• Perform credit application reviews and annual 1099 processing
• Partner with Treasury to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments
• Conduct void and returned check analysis and ongoing check printer testing
• Review aged payables, duplicate payments, and invoice/supplier holds
• Assist with systems testing and special projects as needed
• Participate in department projects and company initiatives as required
• Build and maintain effective relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• Prior Accounts Payable experience required
• Mortenson Accounts Payable experience strongly preferred
• Construction accounting experience a plus
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $24.00 - $32.45. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
