The OAM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions to manage and monitor the performance, health, and availability of network infrastructures, particularly in the context of 5G and 4G technologies. This role is critical for ensuring uninterrupted service delivery for mission-critical space operations. The developer must possess a deep understanding of telecommunications systems and the ability to create robust OAM solutions that can handle real-time operations under stringent performance requirements.



  • OAM Solution Development: Design and implement software for network monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting in mission-critical telecom environments.
  • Real-Time Monitoring & Fault Management: Build systems for real-time network performance tracking, fault detection, and resolution in 4G/5G networks.
  • Automation & High Availability: Automate routine OAM tasks and develop fault-tolerant systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers and developers to integrate OAM systems with broader network operations.
  • Security, Compliance & Improvement: Ensured OAM solutions meet security standards and are continuously optimized for performance and scalability.


You have:



  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in OAM development, network management, or related roles, particularly within the telecommunications or IT industry.
  • Telecommunication Expertise: Understanding of the telecom platform and OAM principles.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go for OAM tool development.
  • Scripting & Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl) for automating operational tasks and network configuration.
  • Network Protocols: Familiarity with network protocols such as SNMP, NETCONF, and YANG for managing and configuring network devices.
  • Monitoring & Alerting Tools: Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios) and configuring alerting mechanisms.
  • Database Systems: Experience with relational and NoSQL databases for storing and retrieving OAM data.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying OAM solutions.


It would be nice if you also had:



  • Previous Nokia co-op or intern experience.
