Description

In collaboration with Clinical Modality Directors and Radiology Physicists, this position supports quality improvement and accreditation efforts by collecting and entering modality-specific imaging data into departmental databases. The assistant will maintain logs of radiographic image quality submissions and help create data summaries for use in education, quality monitoring, and committee reviews.

This role is designed for a student enrolled in an undergraduate Radiologic Technology program.

Salary: $17.30- $45.00 hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to tolerate a highly ambiguous environment and meet multiple demands
  • Ability to respond calmly to the emotional reactions to others and diffuse highly volatile situations
  • Ability to build consensus and ensure open dialogue among individuals and groups, emphasizing commonality in values, mission and opinion.
  • Didactic knowledge in modality imaging techniques including an in-depth knowledge of radiological physics, hardware/software and quality control procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing Medical Center activities, including University policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point
  • Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems.
