Responsibilities

Position description:
Given the complexities of facility management in today's global marketplace, more companies are partnering with Jones Lang LaSalle's Integrated Facility Management (IFM) team to streamline their operations and manage real estate costs. Drawing from the combined power of our global resources and expertise, we help create safe and productive work environments around the world.

Position Summary:

In the role of Assistant Facilities Manager, you will be a key player in maintaining and improving the operational efficiency of our facilities across a designated region. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks, from overseeing day-to-day operations to contributing to long-term strategic planning.

You'll manage various aspects of facility maintenance, including coordinating work orders and ensuring the timely resolution of issues. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in maintaining quality standards and adherence to company policies.

As a leader, you'll support and guide team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. Your role will also involve interfacing with various stakeholders, from vendors to client leadership, requiring strong communication skills.

Process improvement will be an ongoing focus, as you'll be expected to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and implementing best practices. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development and execution of maintenance strategies and procedures.

This position demands a versatile professional with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate potentially challenging clients & situations. Your capacity to think on your feet, find innovative solutions, and maintain professionalism in all circumstances will be essential. The ideal candidate will combine facilities expertise with strong interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively address the logistical and human aspects of facilities management.

  • Oversee facilities management operations for an assigned region
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
  • Maintenance/Technical work requirements (time allocated to job) to provide cost control to our client, strongly preferred.
  • Utilize Corrigo for work order management and reporting
  • Optimize system usage to improve operational efficiency
  • Vendor management - assist with performance management of suppliers
  • Participate in virtual meetings and provide updates on regional activities
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Provide support and direction for Facility Coordinators, which will include being the go-to person and running a weekly meeting for Fc's
  • PTO coverage for FC on account while they are out
  • Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Corrigo
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, particularly accruals and aging reports
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Customer and Vendor Management:
  • Customer service-oriented with experience in handling difficult clients
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Experience in remote work environments is preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position:

65,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
