Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced HR Benefits Analyst to work in our Kansas City, MO office. Role Overview: Under limited supervision, the Sr Benefits Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing existing benefits systems, procedures, and financial reports to ensure effective, efficient, and accountable internal controls and operations. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefit plans, 401(k), leave programs, and the wellness program. This role involves designing necessary changes, preparing procedure manuals, and reporting on financial and benefits transactions. Required Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in FMLA (rules, regulations, etc.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years (5 years or more is preferable) of experience in human resources.
- Must have experience working with various benefit plans and/or plan structures.
- Must have prior HRIS experience.
- Must have strong experience with tools like Excel, as well as strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with compliance (401k, Cobra, etc.)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Human Resources Background with 5 or more years of Benefits, HRIS, and/or compliance experience.
- Dayforce or other HCM/HRIS system experience preferred.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to evaluate and manage employee benefit programs, perform detailed analysis, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong ability to provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefit options and resolve any questions or concerns.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports.
- Strong capability to troubleshoot issues and find resolutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills including experience with data models, v-lookup, pivot-tables, and formulas, and a willingness to learn macros.
- Familiarity with federal and state health care reform laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly and interact effectively with employees, supervisors, and external agencies.
