We are seeking a Director of Emerging Account Solutions to drive strategic growth through identifying new customer segments and optimizing business with current accounts. This role blends leadership excellence with hands-on account management, ensuring strategies are both visionary and executable in the field. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with the agility to pivot between high-level planning and tactical execution, deeply versed in the evolving payer, PBM, and provider contracting landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on capturing new market opportunities and enhancing value within current accounts.
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new customer growth opportunities across innovative and evolving market segments (e.g., transparent PBMs, healthcare disruptors, new care delivery models).
  • Strengthen relationships with existing accounts to maximize growth potential and long-term value.
  • Build and execute integrated strategic account plans that address both emerging markets and opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Cultivate deep, trust-based relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including regional payers, mid-size PBMs, IDNs, specialty provider groups, and market innovators.
  • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to key accounts, driving meaningful outcomes and measurable success.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics, payer behaviors, and competitive activity to inform agile strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align field execution with overall business strategy and above-brand initiatives.
  • Oversee contract execution, compliance, and performance, ensuring both new and existing agreements meet business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the team to accelerate performance.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
  • 10+ years' experience in account management/leadership, with at least 2 of those years in market access in the following areas: regional payers, provider contracting, and PBMs (including disruptors), and emerging healthcare trends.
  • Proven success in driving new customer acquisition and growing existing business relationships.
  • Experience with data analytics and business insights
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-60%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or advanced clinical/science degree.
  • Financial expertise in gross-to-net, ASP, Net Cost Recovery, and pricing dynamics.
  • Experience engaging with innovative customer segments such as transparent PBMs, healthcare disruptors, and large employer coalitions.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and the ability to translate strategies into actionable field execution.
  • Effective negotiation and contracting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated agility in adapting to evolving market needs and challenges.
  • Proven leadership in matrixed environments, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong ability to grow business through both strategic account development and tactical execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for various audiences.
  • Ability to apply Compliance Policies and Procedures (CPP) effectively in dynamic environments.
