Job Summary

Perform exploratory research in the synthetic preparation of new ingredients for taste evaluations as potential commercialization modulator targets. Explore literature to identify routes to natural and synthetic molecular targets and carry out these routes under supervisor of manager. Must be able to work safety in a team setting where attention to detail and accurate recording of results is essential.

Responsible for carrying out diverse organic laboratory reactions, involving a wide range of reagents. Will purify reactions via a variety of methods including, chromatography, distillation or re-crystallization. Will be involved in utilizing newer technologies to improve output and minimize timelines of research projects.

  • Setup and execute reactions on gram to kilogram scale

  • Analyze product and data and accurately document experiments

  • Keep laboratory clean and help maintain a safe environment

  • Participate in team meetings and other activities

Qualifications:

  • Student studying for a BS in chemistry with experience in organic synthesis in a laboratory setting.
