National Grid is hiring a Principal Transmission Planning Engineer - Successful candidate can be located in either our Waltham, MA, Boston, MA, Brooklyn, NY or our Bloomington, MN office. Job Purpose
National Grid Ventures (NGV) is looking for a knowledgeable, curious, and driven Principal Transmission Planning Engineer to join our Grid Integration and Planning Team. This individual will support our competitive transmission projects by carrying out transmission analyses and managing interconnection processes in MISO. They will ensure that work products are generated to provide sufficient decision-making information to management and to effectuate the interconnection of projects the transmission system. This role will provide support to key initiatives driving NGV's growth and partnerships throughout the US. Key Accountabilities
* Perform, lead, or facilitate engineering and transmission assessments and analyses. Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields. Power systems focus desired. More Information Salary New England MA $167,000 - $196,000 a year Downstate NY $179,000 - $210,000 a year South Eastern MN $149,000 - $175,000 a year This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
