Job Title: Case Dock & Truck Yard Supervisor
Location: Clover Farms - Reading PA
Reports To: Cooler Manager

Job Overview:

The Case Dock & Truck Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and handling of cases within the dock area and ensuring efficient logistics in the truck yard. This role ensures smooth operations, maintains safety standards, and optimizes workflow while coordinating with drivers, dock workers, and plant personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the case dock and truck yard, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company procedures.
  • Monitor the loading, unloading, staging, and transfer of dairy products to maintain quality and minimize waste.
  • Manage truck movements in the yard to prevent congestion and maintain operational flow.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards in case dock and yard areas.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment, dock conditions, and vehicle movements to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to enhance scheduling and delivery efficiency.
  • Train and mentor dock workers and yard personnel, promoting best practices and teamwork.
  • Maintain documentation related to truck yard operations, dock activities, and inventory movements.
  • Address operational challenges, including truck delays, case shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform regular audits of case dock inventory and truck yard logistics to improve operational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in logistics, dock supervision, or truck yard operations within a manufacturing or dairy environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and train employees.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, handling procedures, and food storage requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in inventory tracking and workflow optimization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift items throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions in the truck yard.
