SALARY:

$106,836 - $130,000 per year + $10,000 stipend, The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and provide feedback to Pre-Clinical COM course directors for the supervision and execution of Pre-Clinical courses, including assistance with course planning, scheduling of academic teaching events, communication with guest teaching faculty, interfacing with the Office of Testing, finalization of grades, delivering the end of course report to the COM curriculum committee (DOCC), addressing student needs and concerns, and completing curriculum assessment.
  • Monitor, assess, and meet with MCOM students with course failures or otherwise have academic difficulties, including the planning of remediation or the referral to the Student Performance Committee and/or the Dean, as policy requires.
  • Create, refine, and maintain Pre-Clinical academic calendar, daily schedule, and global block schedules.
  • Reserve space necessary for the delivery of the Pre-Clinical curriculum.
  • In support of both Pre-Clinical student support and curriculum delivery, serve as a liaison with Office of Testing, Registrar's Office, IT, Financial Aid, Department of Clinical Education, Department of Student Affairs, Department Chairs, Student Performance Committee, Student Leaders, and Faculty.
  • Coordinate makeup and remediation examinations.
  • Interface with and provide support to guest faculty as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between students and administration for issues and questions concerning the curriculum, schedule, academic and personal issues, excused absences, and MCOM activities.
  • Participate in the education and mentorship of MCOM and other RVU students in a variety of settings, including the classroom, clinic, laboratory, and simulation center.
  • Participate in student assessment, faculty development, and service to the University and community.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Preclinical Education or the Dean of MCOM.


Qualifications

  • Assist administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
