GENERAL SUMMARY

The Business Systems Analyst will be part of the Enterprise Risk Management team in the Second Line of Defense. This is a technical role, and the candidate will be responsible for systems configuration, maintenance, and report development across the Bank's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor systems implementation, configuration, customization, and reporting.
The role is a blend of risk requirements gathering, system configuration, integration, and report design for the Bank's business and risk management professionals across the three lines of defense. Typical stakeholders may include Risk Management (e.g., Credit Risk, Operational Risk, etc.), Audit, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Model Risk Management, Information Technology, Information Security, Project Management, Third-Party Risk, and Physical Security.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Configure, integrate, and maintain Risk Management GRC systems, including performing system customization, testing, and reporting functions.
  • Customize and implement software applications using Python, develop complex reports and dashboards, and design both relational and unstructured data.
  • Provide functional and technical support for GRC systems, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless application performance.
  • Act as systems administrator for Risk Management GRC systems, including administering user roles and permissions, ensuring data integrity, managing incidents and changes.
  • Execute queries on application databases and Bank's data warehouse and assist in preparing periodic or ad hoc reports for distribution to business units and senior management.
  • Develop training materials and user guides, and conduct training sessions to educate users on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and Enterprise Risk Management for GRC system enhancements.
  • Lead the collection and analysis of business requirements from stakeholders across various risk domains.
  • Develop detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
  • Create detailed procedures, processes, and workflow diagrams to ensure clarity and efficiency in system implementation and operation.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in technology field or MIS (preferred) or related field.
  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 4 years of technical and functional expertise in financial services, with a strong emphasis on vendor system implementation and configuration in banking environments.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ServiceNow development and/or implementing GRC applications.
    • Proficiency in SQL queries and experience in developing and customizing databases/systems for reporting purposes.
    • Programming knowledge in Python and experience with other relevant programming languages.
    • Experience designing and generating reports using reporting/query tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Business Objects.
    • Familiarity with risk management areas such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Risk Appetite and Reporting, Business Continuity Management, Third-Party Risk Management, IT Risk, SOX compliance, Internal Audit, Controls Testing, Issues Management, and Policy Management.
    • Experience in Diligent One (formerly HighBond) and/or ServiceNow GRC/IRM is a plus.


  • Skills/Ability:


    • Self-motivated with an analytical mindset and a drive to learn new systems and technologies.
    • Knowledge of Python and REST APIs.
    • Proficient in business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
    • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data analysis.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel (VBA and formulas in Excel), Outlook, SharePoint, Teams.

Exemption status will be determined at the time of offer based on salary.
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
