Basic Function

HSB Solomon Associates LLC, a subsidiary of Hartford Steam Boiler and MunichRe, is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity and IT Operations intern to work in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. Solomon is the leading benchmarking and performance improvement company for the global energy industry, serving clients in nearly 80 countries, with global headquarters in Dallas. Through benchmarking studies, Solomon provides data-driven, strategic insight across the energy industry, leading to greater efficiency, reliability, and profitability. In this role, the qualified individual will focus on the following projects:

• SIEM (security information and even management) tool deployment and tuning of configuration/ alert rules

• Creating technical documentation for SIEM

• Researching and testing Next-Generation Antivirus (NGAV) and other endpoint protection software

• Work with desktop support and Windows administrator teams to provide end user support for internal users

• Participate in Windows 11 testing & Q/A

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• 2< years towards a Technology, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or other similar degree.

Required:

• Both individually driven and team oriented

• Solid understanding of how and why Windows Active Directory/ Azure Active Directory/ Microsoft Entra ID works

• Entry level coding skills in any language(s)

  • Ability to learn new logic-based programming

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
