Nokia of America Corporation, Global 1830 TAC Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX.
- Provide remote technical support to all customers on 1830 PSS equipment and networks and assist both internal and external customers with the isolation of problems within a 1830 PSS network.
- Identify the impact of the outage and changes made to the customer network.
- Ensure outage situations are documented per guidelines to meet contractual root cause analysis obligations.
- Provide pragmatic and effective recovery.
- Manage and communicate the related risks.
- Create and maintain customer relationships on a day-to-day basis and develop solutions to rectify reported issues.
- Maintain high level of customer satisfaction by providing services fully compliant with the SLA.
- Ensure that tickets / records for each issue are continuously updated and maintained per the Nokia processes.
- Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.
- Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI
Domestic travel up to 15% required. International travel up to 5% required. Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 60%. Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience. Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:
- Trouble-shoot issues on the 1830 PSS network deployed for the customer;
- 1830 PSS GMPLS/GMRE (Generalized Multi-protocol Labeled Switching Routing Engine) Solution and the 1830 EPT(Equipment Planning Tool);
- 1830 PSS WEBui (Web User Interface), CLI (Command Line Interface) and TL1 command language;
- Performing retrieval of Debug dumps, running traces, and interpreting logs via CLI;
- Performing health and maintenance analysis on customer's networks.
