CDI Engineering Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Performs a variety of difficult Cad drafting assignments, which require the application of standard drafting techniques and frequently used engineering formulas in accordance with established standards and procedures under minimal supervision. Immediate supervisor provides technical guidance where necessary.

Proficient with revising P&ID's using AutoCad and CAD drawing softwares, able to modify PDF Vendor drawings if needed and willing to walk and field verify P&ID's.

Prepares complete sets of drawings, which involve multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements. Utilizing either Cad drafting/design techniques.

Performs related engineering support which are not completely standardized or prescribed.

Determines material needs and makes necessary calculations using accepted formulas and references.

Interfaces with the designers and engineers.

Field notes are neatly arranged, accurate and complete.

Sketches are readable by anyone and include all pertinent dimensions and notes.

All material is signed and dated with job number.

May interface with constructions crews during construction phase to provide and receive input relative to accuracy of drawings, coordination of shutdowns and to expedite the timely and efficient completion of the project.

Uses time efficiently.

Quality assurance for personal work assignments.

Supports field assignments as required.

High school education or equivalent with vo-tech training in basic Cad drafting courses. Minimum of four years of technical work experience or a 2-year degree in drafting/design technology with two - four years' related experience. Incumbent must demonstrate a proficiency in utilizing Cad drafting techniques for a variety of non-routine assignments and a working knowledge of Cad equipment for a variety of standard applications.
