The Technical Operations team is responsible for the infrastructure and tools used throughout the organisation to deliver amazing customer experiences. We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to bridge the gap between our platform teams and our internal customers, ensuring seamless integration with SIE's Kubernetes based platform and infrastructure that includes a global network and data centre infrastructure.

This new role is ideal for a technical expert passionate about cloud-native technologies, on-premises infrastructure, and public cloud services and will play a key role in the development of processes and tools used to support seamless customer engagement, streamline service delivery, and empower innovative solutions.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as a technical liaison between platform architecture, network architecture, platform engineering, and internal customers (product development teams) to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions.
  • Assist customers in integrating with SIE's Kubernetes platform, ensuring best practices and operational excellence, including co-ordination of Proof of Concept and Test environments.
  • Provide guidance on on-premise and public cloud infrastructure, including best-fit solutions for scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Work closely with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) technologies, leveraging Kubernetes and other cloud-native tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve platform capabilities and optimize integration processes based on customer feedback.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and training materials for customers and internal teams.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and work proactively to resolve integration challenges.
  • Advocate for customer needs, driving continuous improvements to SIE's platform infrastructure.


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of both on-premise compute and virtualisation platforms and leading public cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related tools such as GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in supporting real customers in a production support environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for a variety of audiences.
  • Passion for customer success and delivering high-quality solutions.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience working in the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with large content provider or service provider networking
  • Contributions to CNCF projects or open-source communities.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$145,700 $218,500 USD
