Job Title: SHEQ Coordinator

Department: Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ)

Location: Houston

Reports to: SHEQ Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary:

Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Industrial Flow's: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 - registered management systems.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and applicable management system requirements, the SHEQ Coordinator will aid in all aspects of our operations, across multiple facilities (i.e. the safety and development of stakeholders, registrations / management systems, various QHSE programs, continual improvement projects, operational efficiencies, and customer satisfaction).

Ensuring safe, efficient operations, and the highest quality service and delivery standards, the SHEQ Coordinator will also serve as a liaison between Industrial Flow North America and its internal and external customers.

(Multi-Site) Responsibilities:



  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA standards
  • Be accountable for developing and implementing Health, Safety & Security policies, and procedures in compliance with Group, local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
  • Comply with applicable city, state and federal reporting requirements (i.e. OSHA logs, DOT, environmental reporting etc.)
  • Oversee various facets of the QHSE management system(s) administration, not limited to: maintenance of site ISO registrations, policy & procedure implementation, training, internal audits, corrective actions, record retention, customer satisfaction, operational performance, inputs to management review, and applicable quality software system administration
  • Monitor KPIs to ensure operational and customer requirements are consistently met (or exceeded); furthermore, identifying areas for improvement
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely and effective actions are taken
  • Assist with the administration of (external) supply chain management / risk mitigation and training platforms
  • Plan, compose, and administer applicable quality, environmental, and health and safety training programs for site employees
  • Maintain the site's plan for disaster response / business continuity
  • Inspect and audit facilities / activities to ensure QHSE MS compliance, identify existing or potential accident and health hazards, and take action to eliminate, or mitigate risk
  • Support Supplier Quality Management program (i.e. conduct supplier audits / assessments, monitor performance, inspection technique support, SCARs etc.)
  • Create a culture of sustainability throughout the organization, by raising awareness and driving continual improvement of the sites' environmental performance, and group sustainability goals
  • Other duties as assigned



Required Experience & Knowledge:




  • Four-year college degree, and / or, a minimum 5 years equivalent of Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing, service & logistics environment with the following Safety Professional accreditations: Certified Occupational Safety Manager (COSM), and / or Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in training administration, (i.e. planning, content development, delivery, and sustainment of training programs) including record maintenance
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSA requirements
  • Experience with analyzing trends, assessing processes, and providing recommendations for improvement with follow-up actions
  • Ability to participate in day-to-day operations, frequently interact and collaborate with other departments and customers.
  • Proven ability to develop & influence an organization to achieve and sustain safe practices and compliance
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem-solving methodologies
  • MS Office 365



Preferred Skill and Experience:




  • DOT / HAMZAT certifications and OSHA30 training
  • Auditing and experience supporting multiple facilities preferred
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain / Risk Management Platforms (i.e. Avetta, ISNetworld, DISA etc.), SharePoint, Power BI, Smartsheet and Visio are a plus
  • Understanding of engineered to order execution
