*Description* * Splice both loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cables. * Perform fusion splicing for single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables. * Conduct performance tests on optical fibers using OTDRs, power meters, and light sources. * Read and interpret network installation blueprints and splice schedules. * Troubleshoot and repair fiber networks to ensure high-quality service. * Operate specialized equipment and vehicles for fiber optic splicing. * Document and report on completed installations, noting any irregularities or issues. * Adhere to industry safety standards and protocols during all installations and repairs. * Stay updated on the latest fiber optic technology, equipment, and techniques. *Skills* Fiber optic testing, Fiber optic splicing, Fiber optic, Install, Fiber splicing, Fusion, Cat6, Splice, Cable, Fiber optic cable, Cabling, OTDR *Top Skills Details* Fiber optic testing, Fiber optic splicing, Fiber optic, Install, Fiber splicing, Fusion *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Experience with Outside Plant (OSP) activities. * Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in fiber splicing. * Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices. * Computer literacy with MS Office products and testing equipment. *Experience Level-Intermediate Level* *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
