In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Coordinate the work of the Mechanical design team with the balance of a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire project's development
• Assess and design a wide range of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule* Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
• Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
• Write and edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, mechanical systems, and other devices
• Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
• Provide construction contract administration as needed
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators, or Mechanical BIM Technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis
• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis
• Revit MEP experience preferred
• Commercial/institutional experience in healthcare is a plus
• Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
